Readers of the Bulgarian edition “Diary” discussed the publication about the summit of Russian and US Presidents Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden in Geneva. Many were interested in Biden’s words that Putin is allegedly afraid of being overthrown. They also argued about whether Russia will fight with China against the United States.

“Putin is really very worried that one day the people’s love will overtake him….”, – wrote one of the readers.

“It depends on how to understand this phrase,” says another about Biden’s statement. He adds that in his opinion, Putin is worried about how NATO would not surround Russia, and he himself would not be overthrown as a result of the intervention. “I think it can be understood, especially since the Americans are concerned about the same thing,” the user writes, noting that Americans talk a lot about the Russians not influencing the American elections.

“Putin will be overthrown by the oligarchs who actually rule Russia. Biden and NATO don’t care about that,” another panelist replies.

But the author of the following comment argued with those who criticized Putin’s subsequent press conference. According to the author, Putin was ready for any questions, answered without delay, intelligently, accurately and with humor. “Compared to him, many Western leaders seem incompetent,” the commentary says.

And another reader writes that he and many experts were impressed by the way Biden sat at the beginning of the negotiations. According to him, Biden sat cross-legged like a woman, and Putin sat like an alpha male.
