Peskov called the new accusations of Ukraine against Russia a lie

Kiev’s accusations against Russia of war crimes in the territories that recently came under the control of Ukraine, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov called a lie.

“This is the same scenario as in the Butch,” he said during a conversation with media representatives. “This is a lie.” The Kremlin spokesman stressed that “of course, we will defend the truth in this whole story.”

In early April, Peskov categorically rejected statements about the involvement of the Russian military in the killings of civilians in Bucha. The press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation said that the Kremlin does not trust videos with the dead:  The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation found forgeries and fakes in them. Moscow has since unsuccessfully sought to hold a meeting of the UN Security Council to discuss the spread of these fakes. In May, Peskov called the reports about what happened in Bucha “a masterfully bloodthirsty staging.”

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said that visa restrictions against Russians in Europe are “not a very good idea.”

According to him, he hopes that in the near future these visa restrictions will disappear. The lifting of restrictions is possible after the end of the Russian military operation in Ukraine.

“Relations between Russia and the European Union have deteriorated in many aspects since the beginning of Russia’s military operation in Ukraine. I hope that after the end of the war, all these situations will disappear,” Guterres added.

He added that in light of the events in Ukraine, some Russians wished to leave Russia. Therefore, “not allowing them to come to the EU countries is not a good idea.”
