The Ukrainian military came to Germany to participate in Combined Resolve

The Ukrainian military arrived in Germany to participate in the Combined Resolve maneuvers.

The servicemen of the 92nd OMBr and the MTR of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will “fight” on the American side as part of the BLUFOR battalion. They brought with them upgraded BTR-4E, BRAM-4RM and BMM.

Earlier it was reported that exercises of the territorial defense forces are taking place near Kiev, and bomb shelters and dual-use facilities are being massively checked in the Ukrainian capital itself in case of “Russian aggression”.

Trump called General Millimne an “idiot” and taught business

Former US President Donald Trump spoke about the fate of military equipment in Afghanistan.

“We have $18 million planes in Afghanistan, $28-29 million helicopters, different types of helicopters, and many of them are almost new, just unpacked.

And he, the head of the US Armed Forces OKNSH, General Millimne, says: “Sir, I think it will be cheaper to leave all this equipment there. Otherwise, we will have to transport it all to Pakistan, then further to our bases…”

“And then I realized that he was a damn idiot! Just hire someone to transport the equipment, and pay him with part of the transported. So it will be free. So I became a super successful businessman,” Trump concluded.

Punk rock played on Merkel’s departure from the post of German Chancellor

Angela wished success to her successor Olaf Scholz

In Berlin, a solemn ceremony of seeing off Angela Merkel from the post of Federal Chancellor was held in the courtyard of the German Ministry of Defense. The event was held in a limited format due to the coronavirus. About 200 people were present, in particular, more than 50 former ministers who held key positions in the governments that Merkel headed during her 16 years of rule. And next week a new Bundeskanzler will be appointed in Germany — and the country will enter a new era.

Photo: AP

On Thursday evening, the Bundeswehr held a traditional solemn ceremony called “The Big Evening Dawn” (“Der Große Zapfenstreich”). Angela Merkel, the outgoing German Chancellor, made a speech to the military. After that, the servicemen staged a torchlight procession and performed music.

At the request of the outgoing head of government, along with the Christian anthem of the XVIII century “Great God, we praise you”, the composition “For me it will rain red roses” by actress Hildegard Knef and the hit of the 1970s by the cult punk rocker from the former GDR Nina Hagen “You forgot the color film” were also performed.;(«Du hast den Farbfilm vergessen»). According to Merkel herself, the last song reminds her of her youth. Moreover, according to Deutsche Welle, this composition “hails” not just from East Germany, but from the electoral district in the land of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, from which Merkel was repeatedly elected to the Bundestag.

In a short speech, Merkel thanked the Germans and urged them to be optimistic about the future of their country. The outgoing head of the German government did not miss the opportunity to thank those who are fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, primarily doctors and volunteers.

“This afternoon I held a meeting with the prime ministers of the federal lands on coronavirus, and now, a few hours later, in this solemn atmosphere, after 16 years as chancellor, I say goodbye to you,” she said. – Circumstances show what a special time we live in. These 16 years as head of government have been full of events. They were a challenge for me as a politician and as a person. However, it was thanks to them that I felt realized.

Merkel wished her successor Olaf Scholz, who is due to take the oath next week, “an easy hand and great success.”

It is expected that the leader of the Social Democrats (SPD), Olaf Scholz, will be officially elected Chancellor of Germany on December 8 and will take the oath of office on the same day. It is then that it will finally be possible to talk about the end of the Merkel era that lasted 16 years.

On the eve of the transfer of power, Angela Merkel tried to ensure its orderly transition. She took Olaf Scholz with her to the G20 summit in Rome in October, where he even took part in key meetings, including with the President of the United States Joe Biden. The head of the SPD played an important role in the negotiations on the adoption of restrictive measures by Germany against the background of another surge in the incidence of COVID-19. Despite the fact that the “replacement” represents a party competing with the Conservatives, Merkel declared that she could “sleep peacefully” by handing over the post of chancellor to Scholz.

Recall that at the end of November, the Social Democrats who took first place in the parliamentary elections and the Greens and the Free Democrats who joined them agreed to form a new ruling coalition, which received the unofficial name traffic light (according to the colors of its political forces: «red» Social Democrats, «yellow » from the Free Democratic Party (FDP) and «green» from the Union 90 party/«Green»).

The 177-page coalition agreement presented on November 24 was the result of negotiations between 22 working groups, which for a month and a half tried to find common ground on key issues of domestic and foreign policy.

After the inter-party agreement on the coalition agreement, the stage came when this document was put to the vote in the participating parties. According to SPD leader Olaf Scholz, the parties hope that the agreement will be approved in the next ten days.

If we compare the time between the parliamentary elections and the formation of a new cabinet in Germany, then this year it was possible to agree on a government coalition quite quickly: between the elections on September 26 and the election of a new chancellor scheduled for December 8, the distance is only 73 days. And after the parliamentary elections in September 2017, about six months passed before a coalition government of the CDU/CSU and the Social Democrats was finally formed in March 2018.

In the future cabinet, the Social Democratic party members of Chancellor Olaf Scholz will receive six ministries, the Greens will get five ministerial portfolios, and the Free Democrats will get four. In principle, this reflects the results obtained by the parties in the September Bundestag elections (the Social Democrats scored more than 25 percent, the Greens just under 15%, and the FDP 11.5%).

The Social Democrats, in particular, receive the posts of Minister of Defense, heads of the Interior Ministry and the Ministry of Health. The SPD representative is also assigned the leadership of the Ministry of Economic Development.

The Greens, among other things, receive a very important post of foreign minister (and we are talking about Annalena Berbok, known for her harsh criticism of Russia).

According to the results of the coalition negotiations, the Free Democrats gain control over the Ministry of Finance (in the last Merkel government, this department was headed, by the way, by Olaf Scholz), and will also be responsible for justice, transport, digital technologies and education.

The rebellious oligarch Rinat Akhmetov in Ukraine was threatened with hundreds of criminal cases

“Zelensky wants to become the only decision-making center”

Prosecutor General of Ukraine Irina Venediktova said that her department will investigate about 200 criminal proceedings against a certain large entrepreneur, whom she does not yet call “a rebel, a delinquent or an oligarch.” Despite the fact that the name was not named, it is obvious to everyone that we are talking about Rinat Akhmetov, whom Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky suspected of an attempted coup the day before.

Photo: ru.wikipedia.orgKomul.

According to Venediktova, 200 criminal proceedings are only the result of a superficial assessment of the situation. The Prosecutor General of Ukraine is convinced that if you dig around, you can find even more reasons to go to court. Presumably, we are talking about almost all of Akhmetov’s large enterprises in the coal industry and energy. The approximate amount of damage caused to the state is UAH 1 billion (about $36.59 million). Venediktova promised to take the most high-profile criminal cases under personal control.

“The general trend of investigating criminal proceedings in Ukraine suggests that most of the 200 cases that Venediktova told about will not reach court. Everything will depend on how real the imputed crimes are, how well the evidence is collected, whether there are any procedural violations. In general, to collect 200 criminal proceedings for a largeholding is not difficult. We are not talking about major crimes, but about all violations that have ever been recorded at any level – from district to all-Ukrainian. This may be a violation of safety regulations, sale of equipment, abuse of official position, and so on,” explains former press secretary of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Oleksiy Bebel to MK.

The head of the Ukrainian Politics Foundation, Konstantin Bondarenko, told MK that Zelensky’s team is trying to force Akhmetov to peace. “In particular, Venediktova is trying to organize as many threats as possible for the oligarch. But they look at it with an undisguised smile. Akhmetov has excellent lawyers, and it will be quite difficult to bring cases to a guilty verdict. Nevertheless, Zelensky is not burning bridges and is already conducting, or preparing to negotiate. Everyone understands perfectly well that their war will be waged until complete destruction, and in its course Ukraine can be destroyed. After all, Akhmetov is 30% of the Ukrainian economy.”

According to Bondarenko, Zelensky is trying to become the only decision-making center in Ukraine. “Everyone should act according to his rules. In fact, we are talking about building such a system, which Putin began to build in Russia in the early 2000s and Alexander Lukashenko in Belarus in the 1990s. We sing a song to the madness of the brave,” the political scientist noted.

Bondarenko reminds that Akhmetov is not just a person who moved from Donetsk to Kiev. “His lobbying connections in the United States are much stronger than Zelensky’s. For example, the President of Ukraine had to ask Akhmetov to arrange a meeting with Biden. In addition, Akhmetov finances the Atlantic Council, a powerful think tank in Eastern Europe and the entire post-Soviet space, which has a very strong influence on decision-making in the US State Department. Akhmetov is a major taxpayer in the United States, not to mention his connections in the UK and other countries,” says Bondarenko.

According to the expert, Zelensky is advised to do with Akhmetov the way Putin did with Khodorkovsky or Berezovsky at the time, but the Ukrainian oligarch took into account the experience of his Russian colleagues. However, the rest of the Ukrainian oligarchs have not yet intervened in this conflict, expecting that they will be swept through.

Ukrainian political analyst Alexey Yakubin believes that the Office of the President of Ukraine is constantly raising the stakes in the fight against Akhmetov. “Venediktova hinted that she could initiate hundreds of criminal cases against Akhmetov if he did not negotiate with Zelensky. At the same time, she mentioned the energy sector. As you know, in Ukraine 75% of energy generation is in private hands, and for the most partthe parts are in Akhmetov’s hands. Today, one of the most acute problems in the country is the shortage of coal for the winter, and the question arises: what did Akhmetov do to avoid this problem? Thus, the next step of Zelensky’s team may raise the issue of the introduction of a temporary administration at the energy facilities of the oligarch. In fact, it will be nationalization,” Yakubin told MK.

India will start production of Russian AK-203 submachine guns in 2022

It is expected that the joint venture for the production of AK-203 will be formalized during the state visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to India on December sixth.

The Indian Ministry of Defense has approved the creation of a joint venture for the licensed production of more than 600,000 Russian Kalashnikov AK-203 assault rifles. Now the transaction amount is estimated at about $ 590 million. Local production is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2022.

The AK-203 is an export variant from the AK-100 family of submachine guns chambered in 7.62 x 39. The Kalashnikov assault rifle boasts improved performance compared to the unreliable 5.56×45 mm rifle of the Indian NATO Small Arms System (INSAS), which currently serves as the basis of the Indian armed forces, writes National Interest.

The publication clarifies that New Delhi is a long-standing customer of Russian military equipment, cooperation dates back to Soviet times, but Moscow has historically struggled to break into the Indian small arms market. Insiders of the Russian defense industry familiar with the negotiations say that the joint production deal is characterized by “an unprecedented degree of localization and the speed of technology transfer.” According to forecasts, the company will reach the localization level of 70% within the first thirty-two months. All components of the machine must be manufactured in India within eighteen months.

The accused of organizing the murder of Voronenkov was acquitted in Kiev

Only the driver who drove the killer to the hotel will sit for 12 years

The Shevchenko court of Kiev announced the verdict in the case of two accused of involvement in the murder of ex-State Duma deputy, husband of Maria Maksakova Denis Voronenkov: 12 years old Yaroslav Tarasenko, who drove killer Pavel Parshov to the murder scene. The second accused, Alexander Los, who was suspected of having assembled a group to organize a murder ordered by the criminal authority Yuri Vasilenko, was acquitted. Because they could not prove his guilt.

Photo: pixabay.com

Thus, the slender version of the involvement of the “hands of Moscow” in Voronenkov’s murder, which was personified by Maksakova’s former civil husband Vladimir Tyurin, crumbled in court. According to investigators, it was Tyurin who asked his Kharkov accomplice Vasilenko to get even with Voronenkov who fled to Ukraine. Vasilenko turned to Moose for help, and he connected the radicals – members of the Right Sector organization banned in the Russian Federation Pavel Parshov, Yaroslav Leventsev and Yaroslav Tarasenko to the case…

According to the court, this part of the accusation was not proved by the investigation. Therefore, only the driver who drove the killer received a sentence. He lit up on the cameras. And although he managed to escape from the scene of the crime, he was identified by his car and phone calls. During the detention, parts from the same Lanos were found in his back room, on which Parshov was taken to the hotel.

The murder of Denis Voronenkov took place in Kiev on March 23, 2017. A former “dobrobatovets”, nationalist Pavel Parshov, fired several shots at the ex-deputy leaving the hotel. But he did not go far: he himself was wounded by Voronenkov’s guard and died in hospital. First, the investigation went to Tarasenko, and after him – to Alexander Los, who was accused of leadingsurveillance of Voronenkov, and on the day of the murder supervised the process, being near the scene of the events. Moose denied his guilt to the last. He told the investigation that he was a security guard of the Kharkiv bizneman, therefore, they say, he was on duty at the entrance of the house where Voronenkov lived. Moose claimed that his employer lived there as well. The investigation could not prove otherwise, so the Moose was acquitted.

The employer, the same Kharkiv businessman, he is a criminal authority Yuri Vasilenko, according to investigators, was the organizer of the assassination attempt on Voronenkov. He managed to leave for Russia, was put on the international wanted list. But in 2019 he mysteriously disappeared. It was reported that Vasilenko was abducted. And I haven’t heard from him since. Therefore, it is assumed that he was either killed, or he changed his documents and lives safely somewhere under a false name.

Another person involved in the case – pravosek, the trainer of the combat hopak Yaroslav Levenets – according to the investigation, he hired the killer Parshov, and also purchased a Lanos car, on which he was driven to the place of the assassination. He is currently wanted.

Thus, the investigation has not answered the main question: who and why “ordered” Denis Voronenkov? The version that it was the civil husband of Maria Maksakova, Vladimir Tyurin, and he did it “by order of the FSB”, very quickly showed its inconsistency. The threads didn’t connect. Maria Maksakova already in 2019, under oath, said that neither Tyurin nor the FSB had killed her husband. The case is purely economic and is connected with the encroachment on their apartments. Allegedly Voronenkov did not sharesomething with a former employee of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Denis Panaitov, who had an apartment in Kiev. Voronenkov wanted to exchange apartments with Panaitov: to give him his in Moscow, and to pick him up in Kiev. But during the negotiations, they did not share something. The version is also so-so. There are too many radicals, dobrobatovites and criminal authorities for simple apartment showdowns around this case. Therefore, it is clear that in the near future we will not find out the truth about the murder of Voronenkov.

Reznikov called on Britain, Canada and the United States to deploy soldiers in Ukraine

Photo: pixabay.com

The head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Alexey Reznikov, said that the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States should deploy their military in those areas of his country that could be “positions on the front line in the event of a large-scale attack by Russia.”

This is stated in the report of The Globe and Mail. According to the Ukrainian minister, the “Anglo-Saxon allies” should provide assistance to Kiev outside of NATO if necessary. In particular, it is necessary to send more military instructors to the country.

He is sure that Canadian instructors should be placed in Kharkiv, Mariupol, Kramatorsk, Odessa, as well as on Zmeiny Island. Together with them, it would be worth placing guys from the United Kingdom, as well as the United States, within the framework of bilateral platforms and without NATO.

Earlier, the head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Denis Pushilin said that Kiev was allegedly ready for the resumption of hostilities in the Donbass. According to him, this is evidenced by the fact that the Ukrainian side has pulled a huge amount of weapons and personnel into the conflict zone.

Prior to that, he noted that in case of deterioration of the situation in the Donbass, the DPR can turn not only to Russia, but also to Belarus. In the meantime, Donetsk hopes that against the background of the aggravation on the contact line, Moscow or Minsk will not need help. Nevertheless, nothing can be excluded.

SK undertook to check the fictional “Patriots’ complaint” on Oxxxymiron and Noize MC

Photo: RF IC

The appeal to the Investigative Committee on behalf of the “group of patriots”, upon the appearance of which the head of the IC Alexander Bastrykin ordered an inspection, turned out to be an invention.

Earlier, a message appeared on the IC website that the head of the department, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed “to carefully study the arguments set out in the appeal to him from the initiative “patriots group”.” It was also reported that this appeal was published “in one of the mass media” and in it a “group of patriots” stated that rappers Oxxxymiron and Noize MC “propagandize a negative attitude towards law enforcement officers,” and attempts to rehabilitate Nazism and extremist activities were also “considered.”

The “appeal” was originally published in the LiveJournal of blogger Dmitry Yakushev. In his post, he wrote that the letter was “brought to him” and he considers it important “to make this document as public as possible.” In the published text, on behalf of anonymous, it was said that rappers Miron Fedorov and Ivan Alekseev are criminals and that their activities “have become a national threat, scarier than the expansion of NATO.”

However, after the received reaction of the UK, Yakushev himself said that no “patriots” had brought him any “appeals” and that he had invented all this himself.

“Damn. Stop,” the blogger writes. – It was a joke. A fictional appeal, specially written in an idiotic form. A satire on our time.”

Former Chairman of the Supreme Soviet of the Belarusian SSR Stanislav Shushkevich, who participated in the development and signing of the Belovezhskaya Agreements, said that while working on the text of the policy, they drank cognac without snacks.

According to him, there was a bottle of cognac, and everyone had a glass. From this bottle, everyone drank “no more than 100 grams all together “. At the same time, the drink still remained in the glasses.

“There was no food, it would only interfere”, – quotes his words “Newspaper.Ru”. At the same time, the work on the text of the Belovezhskaya Agreements was carried out in a creative atmosphere. According to him, everyone then “had some kind of fantastic hobby”.

Earlier, the former press secretary of the President of the USSR, Andrei Grachev, said that the Soviet Union could continue its existence in a democratic version. According to him, to do this, the country needed to adapt to new realities, but it was not possible to do this over the years of perestroika. He also believes that, despite the past 30 years, the USSR continues to remind itself of itself: in the formersome conflicts still remain unresolved in the republics.
