Dmitry Peskov denied media reports that the authorities are going to restart the information campaign on vaccination in order to emphasize the need for vaccination to continue normal life. “No, this information is not true, there is no restart,” the Kremlin spokesman said.

He stated that taking into account the specifics of the approach of Russians to vaccination, the information campaign is constant, it is conducted both in traditional and new media.

“Until we reach the public immune barrier, we will consider any of our efforts insufficient,” the presidential press secretary stressed. “We have to convince everyone,” he added.

At the same time, Peskov admitted that the directions of the information campaign are constantly being adjusted. Now they are trying to convey to people that “if a person is not vaccinated, he may die,” and “if a person is not vaccinated, he will be uncomfortable living.”

Peskov noted that after the recent decisions of the federal and regional authorities, the pace of vaccination, thank God, has gone up. He expressed hope that this trend will not weaken during the non-working days, which by October 28 had already begun in many regions, including Moscow.

As for the introduction of mandatory vaccination, no decisions have been taken on this score. “We are looking at how the situation will develop further,” Peskov told reporters, noting that so far the incidence figures, which break a new record every day, are not a reason for optimism.
