Germany supplies Ukraine with the necessary military assistance, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said in an interview with the newspaper Münchner Merkur.

“Much of what is being said in this country simply does not correspond to reality,” he stressed, adding that some underestimate the complexity of the issue.

According to the Chancellor, if Germany supplies the most modern weapons systems, such as howitzers or anti–aircraft systems, then soldiers should be well prepared for their use – otherwise it will become ineffective.; ammunition is also required for such systems.

As Scholz clarified, anyone who thinks that military equipment can be bought like cars in dealerships is greatly mistaken.

“I realize that I have to tolerate criticism,” the chancellor added. In addition, he drew attention to the fact that he would not allow himself to be dissuaded from conducting a balanced course.

The Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly appealed to Western countries with a request to arrange the transfer of weapons. In particular, Kiev has repeatedly accused Germany of too slow pace of deliveries of various types of weapons.
