Journalist and TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak commented on reports that she was being checked for foreign funding. She wrote the answer in her Telegram channel.
“Friends, well, at least don’t lie to yourself,” the star presenter noted. According to her, in the case of “foreign financing”, the rule “there would be a person, but there will be an article” works.
Earlier, social activist Alexander Ionov said that the TV presenter and the editor-in-chief of her news Telegram channel are being checked “for foreign funding.” According to the results of the inspection, they may be recognized as foreign agents.
Prior to that, Ionov himself demanded recognition by foreign agents of some Russian media, which eventually received this status. So, after Ionov’s complaints to Roskomnadzor and the Prosecutor General’s Office, “Medusa” and “Important Stories” got into the register of foreign media agents.
