In Ukraine, they expressed concern about the frequent refusals of the Georgian authorities to allow Ukrainian citizens to enter the country. This question was voiced by the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova in her Telegram channel.

The reason for concern was the refusal of entry to Georgia to Ukrainian journalist Dmitry Gordon. Also, the Georgian authorities did not allow Maria Barabash, the executive director of the Office of Simple Solutions and Results created by Mikhail Saakashvili, to enter the country. On October 26, lawyer Yevgeny Grushovets, who was going to represent Saakashvili’s interests, was also denied entry to Georgia.

But, according to Denisova, not only the citizens of Ukraine listed above, but also many other Ukrainians were refused entry into the country. Those who tried to enter Georgia, Denisova noted, were forcibly returned to Ukraine.
