The Missouri authorities were the first among the authorities of other US states to decide to ban abortions.
Recall that the state of Missouri is located in the Midwest. It is the 19th state in terms of population. More than 84% of the state’s population are white Americans, among whom Americans of German and Irish descent are leading in number.
Earlier, the US Supreme Court overturned a key decision for American legislative practice in the precedent case “Roe v. Wade” from 1973. This decision gave a guarantee for the right to have an abortion throughout the country.
After the adoption of this decision by the US Supreme Court, the states will be able to regulate the issue of the right to abortion themselves, guided by their own traditions and positions. The court also decided that the US Constitution does not give the right to abortion. Therefore, this issue is given to the regulation of the legislators of the American states.
