Zelensky demanded an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council because of new strikes

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky instructed the Permanent Representative to the UN to request an urgent meeting of the Security Council of the world organization. He announced this on Twitter, blocked in the Russian Federation. This happened after another missile strikes on the country’s infrastructure.

As noted in the permanent Mission of the Russian Federation, the meeting has already been scheduled. It will be held at 00.00 Moscow time. Zelensky’s online participation is expected. At the same time, it is claimed that this would be a violation of the rules of procedure.

On Wednesday, an air alert was declared almost throughout the territory of Ukraine. As a result of the missile strikes, electricity, water and heating were lost in some regions. Mobile communications also began to work intermittently and electric public transport stopped.

Later, a map appeared on the Network, on which you can see which regions of Ukraine were completely or partially left without power supply after the recent strikes. The capital of the country Kiev is marked there, as well as Odessa, Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk, Lviv, Zhytomyr, Krivoy Rog, Lutsk, Nikolaev, Poltava, Rivne, Sumy, and Khmelnitsky.
