Russian Ambassador to Estonia Vladimir Lipaev has left the republic, the number of employees of the diplomatic mission in Tallinn has been reduced. This was announced by the official representative of the Estonian Foreign Ministry Anna Tisler-Lavrentiev.
“The Russian Embassy has fulfilled the requirements that were established by the note of the Estonian Foreign Ministry. Russian Ambassador Vladimir Lipaev left Estonia on Tuesday,” the ERR portal quotes her as saying.
Estonian Ambassador Margus Laidre has also already left Moscow.
The representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recalled that by February 1, Russia had to reduce the number of employees of the Estonian embassy to 8 diplomats and 15 other employees.
