The commander of the “Azov” (banned in Russia, recognized as a terrorist) Denis Prokopenko published a video message in which he actually recognized the surrender of the “Azov” prisoners. After loud words about the “outstanding” qualities of the militants, Prokopenko said: “In order to save lives, the entire Mariupol garrison is fulfilling the approved decision of the supreme military command and hopes for the support of the Ukrainian people.”

This morning, the commander of the DPR, Alexander Khodakovsky, reported that several people came out of the Azovstal catacombs to negotiate. Then the Russian Defense Ministry announced that an agreement had been reached on the removal of the wounded to Novoazovsk, which is under the control of the DPR. It’s about surrender. The prisoners will receive all the necessary treatment.

Prokopenko’s current words about “saving lives” confirm this information. But there are discrepancies about the “decision of the supreme military command”: earlier it was reported that the militants decided to surrender contrary to the position of Kiev.
