Vienna cannot cope with the huge influx of refugees, as it has already accepted 85,000 Ukrainian migrants. Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer told about this in an interview with Die Welt.
According to him, by August, about 57,000 asylum applications had been submitted — 195% more than in 2021. From the point of view of Non-Farmer, the number of refugees will continue to increase. “We have already placed about 85,000 Ukrainians, to whom we provide protection and whom we provide. In Austria, the cup is full,” he shared the details.
When asked by a journalist what needs to be done in this case, the Austrian Chancellor again demanded to limit illegal migration to the European Union and called on the EC to resolve this issue.
After yesterday’s massive attack on headquarters and infrastructure facilities on the territory of Ukraine in response to the terrorist attack against the Crimean Bridge, some felt that the demonstration action would be a one-off. And they were wrong: on Tuesday, the strikes continued. Although their intensity was less than on October 10, but the effectiveness, judging by photos and videos from the arrival sites, as well as by power outages in a number of regions of Ukraine, was not lower.

The geography of strikes is very extensive. So far, it is easier to name those regions of Ukraine for which there were no arrivals. These are the Transcarpathian and Chernivtsi regions. On October 11, the strikes hit targets in Vinnytsia, Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv, Kiev, Rivne, Lviv, Khmelnytsky and Odessa regions.
The Russian army selectively uses the weapons it has. Long-range X-101 air-launched cruise missiles are used for strikes on the most remote western regions of Ukraine. It is believed that the launches of these missiles are carried out hundreds of kilometers from the borders with Ukraine. The maximum range of missiles, for a moment, is over 5000 kilometers — a European scale.
The entire territory of Ukraine is also covered without restrictions by sea-based missiles – “Calibers”. They can be launched even from the Black Sea and even the Caspian Sea, where there is a whole squadron of ships with such missiles.
But for attacks on objects on the territory of those Ukrainian regions that are closer to our borders, the Geran-2 barrage ammunition is actively used. The flying “Geranium” has a good range and duration of flight. And, as the photos of the objects hit with this weapon show, they are highly effective.
So, military blogger Yuri Podolyaka reported that in the Vinnytsia region two devices “Geran-2” disabled Ladyzhinskaya thermal power plant.
On October 11, a blow was struck at the Shepetovka railway station — an important junction through which military echelons from the west of Ukraine to the Donbass go. Now they will stand. In addition, the Shepetovsky repair plant was destroyed, where armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were restored.
They hit another transport hub — Pavlograd. From it there are highways to Pokrovsk, Kurakhovo, Maryinka, as well as towards Kramatorsk and Slavyansk, which are under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Two fuel storage bases for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 5 weapons depots, including the joint grouping of Ukrainian troops “Primorye” near Nikolaev, were destroyed. From there, in recent months, there have been constant attacks by the AFU in the Kherson direction.
According to the Russian military, all the targets of the strikes on October 10 and 11 have been achieved. Zelensky, however, says that the Ukrainian air defense worked well — shot down dozens of missiles and drones. But few people believe him. It is no coincidence that the first thing he did after the strikes was to ask NATO for more air defense.
An air operation, like a ground operation, requires every possible support. Including aviation, in order to disable anti-aircraft systems and enemy aircraft. Photos of the use of the latest R—37 air-to-air missile by Russian fighters have appeared in Ukrainian social networks. Such missiles are designed to destroy the Ukrainian MiG-29 and Su-27.
The air operation will certainly continue. At least, the fighters and commanders on the front line really hope so. The well-known military observer Vladlen Tatarsky said on this score: “We need to win, we can’t mess with Ukraine forever. If we hold out, they will create problems for us in other places.”
Dmitry Peskov told reporters that the coat that Putin, seeing off UAE President Al Nahyan, threw over his shoulders should be regarded as “a gesture of attention that reflects the mutual attitude of the leaders.”
He said he didn’t know if the guest had returned his coat to Putin.
Answering the question of what the president will wear if the coat has flown to the UAE, the Kremlin spokesman said: “I don’t think it will be a problem.”
Describing the talks with al Nahyan, Peskov called them substantive and constructive.
Putin responded to the concerns of the President of the UAE in connection with the shelling of the Zaporozhye NPP. “Ukrainian affairs” were also condemned. Peskov recalled that the UAE played an important role in the prisoner exchange process, and Putin, according to him, expressed interest in continuing Abu Dhabi’s mediation efforts.
In turn, Al Nahyan informed the Russian president “about the position of the Ukrainian side on a number of issues.”
The FSB has published photos of citizens involved in the organization of the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge.
Earlier it was also reported that the FSB, together with the Russian IC, came to the conclusion that the organizer of the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge turned out to be the main intelligence directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, its head Kirill Budanov, employees and agents.
As noted, the explosive device was camouflaged in rolls with polyethylene film on 22 pallets weighing a total of more than 22 tons. At the beginning of August, the cargo was transported from the port of Odessa to the Bulgarian Ruse. Citizens of Ukraine, Georgia and one citizen of Armenia were involved in transporting the cargo.
In addition, the FSB detained five Russian citizens, three citizens of Armenia and Ukraine in the criminal case of the explosion. The special service revealed the route of movement of a truck with rolls of construction film, which was disguised explosives.

Zaporozhye lost the sanatorium “Metallurg” together with the mercenaries sitting there
The new day brought Ukraine new “gifts” from the Russian RVS — shells flew to Zaporozhye, Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Khmelnytsky and Odessa regions, Pavlograd, Volnogorsk, Pyatikhatka and Krivoy Rog of the Dnipropetrovsk region. The goals are the same — the objects of the critical infrastructure of the Nezalezhnaya. Schedules of rolling power outages have already been drawn up in the cities of Ukraine. On average, there will be no light in Ukrainian homes for 4 hours a day. 301 settlements in five regions of Ukraine remain completely de-energized on the morning of October 11.

On Tuesday morning, another large thermal power plant, Ladyzhinskaya, was hit near Vinnitsa. Moreover, the station was attacked not by missiles, but by Geranium 5 drones, as a result of which the power equipment of the facility was damaged. “Currently, for security reasons, critically necessary personnel are at the facility. The workers are in shelters,” the station’s management said in a statement.
The city of Pavlograd in the Dnipropetrovsk region, which is now on the “hot list”, is famous for its defense plants, where intercontinental ballistic missiles and their engines were previously produced. Now the factories are branches of Yuzhmash, where they continue to produce parts for missiles. In addition, a military unit and a railway junction are located in Pavlograd, to which, according toRumor has it that a large shipment of Western military equipment arrived over the weekend. In the city of Volnogorsk, which was also hit, there is a large mining and metallurgical plant. And in Pyatikhatka there is another major railway junction. In Krivoy Rog, rockets continue to “finish off” the Krivoy Rog thermal power plant.
In the Khmelnitsky region, missiles hit the Shepetovsky railway junction and a repair plant.
In the Odessa region, explosions occurred at a military training ground in the village of Mayaki near the border with Moldova. There are also military depots there. Several rockets flew into the city itself, destroying electrical substations. Rockets also flew into the Mykolaiv region, hitting critically important objects.
One of the “non-infrastructure” objects, on which there were “arrivals” on Tuesday morning, is the recreation center “Metallurg” on the island of Khortytsya in Zaporozhye. Mercenaries were concentrated there, who were being prepared for transfer to the front line. In total, according to the deputy head of the Office of the President Kirill Tymoshenko, 12 missiles arrived in Zaporozhye.
As you can see, on the second day the list of affected objects expanded. These are not only thermal power plants and electrical substations, but also railway junctions, repair plants, military units and warehouses.
Air alert, destruction and rescuers: consequences of new missile strikes on Ukraine
The American newspaper Washington Post, referring to an ex-White House official, reported that US President Joe Biden, in a conversation with Vladimir Zelensky, said that he might have difficulties in trying to ask Congress for money for the Kiev regime if the head of Ukraine does not stop publicly complaining about insufficient assistance from America.
“The head of the White House told his colleague in a personal conversation that if he continues to talk about insufficient assistance from the United States, it will be difficult for Zelensky to ask the American Congress for money,” the newspaper notes.
According to the newspaper, earlier Zelensky, speaking publicly, repeatedly called on Western countries and the United States to allocate additional weapons to the Kiev regime, despite the fact that the White House had already sent huge amounts of modern weapons and other assistance to Ukraine.
At the moment, according to the publication, a split is beginning to emerge in the American political establishment because of the assistance that the United States allocates to Kiev.
The President of the United States of America Joe Biden said in an interview with CNN that he does not plan to meet Putin.
“I don’t see any point in meeting with Putin at the moment,” Biden said.
He clarified that, in principle, he allows a conversation with the Russian leader, but everything depends on the proposed topic.
“For example, if Putin had approached me at the G20 to discuss the release of the American basketball player Griner, I would have met with him,” the heads of the White House said.
Among other things, the head of the White House clarified that he was not going to discuss with Russia the preservation of control over the new territories that became part of the Russian Federation.
International analyst and expert on political communications, Venezuelan Professor Orlando Romero expressed confidence that the North Atlantic Alliance was behind Ukraine’s attack on the Crimean Bridge.
“It is obvious that this action was coordinated by NATO, it had geoterritorial and political aspects,” the expert believes.
He also added a media aspect, because “the Western media are trying to hush up (and therefore support) this aggression committed deep in Russian territory.”
According to the Emirati state news agency WAM, during a visit to St. Petersburg and talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the leader of the United Arab Emirates, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, voiced the position of the Ukrainian authorities on a number of issues.
“Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan informed Russian President Vladimir Putin about Ukraine’s position on some issues,” the message reads.
The UAE President also added that he is ready to continue mediation efforts around the crisis in Ukraine.
According to EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrel, NATO may not have fulfilled part of the promises made to Russia, but this does not justify what is happening in Ukraine.
“I cannot be satisfied with the arguments that I hear from people, including my friends, justifying Russia’s actions in Ukraine by saying that NATO has not fulfilled its promises. It’s possible. This is the story. None of this can justify the events taking place,” he said in Madrid.
Borrel stressed that the EU has numerous obligations to Ukraine: military, financial and economic. “It should stay that way,” he concluded.
