At the same time, the American general admitted that US intelligence does not know what the decision of the Russian leader will be, but assumes that the Russian president will take into account how long the conflict will last.

In turn, the deputy director of the CIA, David Cohen, who spoke next, said that American intelligence does not see concrete evidence of Moscow’s planning to use weapons of mass destruction in Ukraine.

American generals probably believe that Western sanctions will have a significant impact on Russia. Belousov noted that only the efforts of the group of States and the Russian delegation allowed the conference to remain operational. At the same time, the Russian side, unlike the delegations of Western countries, maintained a constructive approach.
