The decision of the US administration to sell another batch of weapons to Taiwan undermines relations between Washington and Beijing and peace in the Taiwan Strait, said Liu Pengyu, an official representative of the Chinese embassy in Washington.

Earlier, the US State Department approved the sale of weapons to Taipei with a total value of $ 1.1 billion.

The Chinese diplomat accused the Americans of interfering in China’s internal affairs, undermining its sovereignty, creating threats to its interests and security, as well as bilateral relations, and “wrong signals” to Taiwan.

Liu Pengyu called on Washington to fulfill its obligations under the joint Sino-American communiques, observe the “one China principle”, stop supplying weapons to Taipei and interrupt all contacts through military and military-technical cooperation.

He also announced Beijing’s plans to “take legal and necessary retaliatory measures.”

As previously reported by the Pentagon, Taiwan plans to supply anti-ship missiles for $ 355 million, air-to-air missiles for $85.6 million, as well as extend the contract for radar stations for $665.4 million.

In a statement adopted following the meeting, the finance ministers called on all oil-producing countries to increase production in order to stabilize the market. Countries that will find themselves in a “vulnerable” position as a result of the application of new anti-Russian measures will be provided with assistance, the mechanism of which promises to be developed by the G7.

At the same time, a ban will be imposed on the transportation, financing or insurance of Russian oil, the price of which will be above a certain ceiling.

The Allied forces hacked the echeloned defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Donbass, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu shared details.

According to the minister, over the past two weeks, the Russian army, together with units of the People’s militia of the LPR and the DPR, took control of a major defense hub of the Ukrainian army in the village of Peski. “The nationalists’ echeloned and engineer-trained defense was hacked,” Shoigu said, noting that many weapons and wounded were left behind during the retreat of the APU. Russian military medics provided assistance to all the victims.
