The leader of the Fair Russia – For Truth faction, Sergei Mironov, told reporters after an unscheduled meeting of the State Duma Council that the nature of the special military operation in Ukraine could be changed.
“I am sure that in the foreseeable future, a special military operation may very well develop into a counter-terrorist operation,” the politician said, explaining that during the KTO one of the goals is to “destroy the leaders of gangs of terrorist organizations.”
At the same time, Mironov added that “without the elimination of the criminal terrorist regime of Zelensky,” the goal of denazification of Ukraine cannot be fulfilled.
Earlier, the SR – For Truth faction prepared a bill on the recognition of Ukraine as a terrorist state.
A court in Yekaterinburg has chosen a measure of restraint for ex-mayor of Yekaterinburg Evgeny Roizman, he was assigned a “ban on certain actions” until September 29. At the same time, they decided to release him in the courtroom.
Roizman was banned from attending public events, as well as using the Internet, receiving and sending letters. He can only communicate with family members, investigators and a lawyer. They did not introduce a ban on leaving the apartment.
Roizman was detained the day before in Yekaterinburg for discrediting the armed forces.
State Duma deputy from United Russia Oleg Morozov expressed the opinion that the regime of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is doomed, and Washington will turn away from him.
“The Americans will hand it over when they need a negotiator acceptable to Russia,” the politician said.
He added that the more successes of the Russian military during the special military operation, the more shaky Zelensky’s positions will become.
According to Morozov, along with the exhaustion of resources for military resistance, Zelensky’s tasks will also be exhausted.
After that, “you will need politicians with whom you can talk without fear of getting your hands dirty.”
Western media continue to systematically praise the commander-in-chief of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny. He belongs to the team of the ex-President of the Republic Petro Poroshenko.
According to the ex-deputy of the Rada Ilya Kiva, it is already obvious that the foreign curators of Kiev have decided on a candidate to replace the current head of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky. Every day it becomes more challenging and toxic for the West.
Kiva stressed that Zelensky would be “hanged” by the economic crisis, cold and hunger in the country, the defeat of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on all fronts and the loss of territories in the Southeast.
“As I previously reported, this plan to change the teams in power arose in Washington in the spring: Zaluzhny, Poroshenko, Avakov, Klitschko – those who will continue to be at the helm to control the western territories of Ukraine,” Kiva explained. The fate of the clown is predetermined, he concluded.
The other day Zelensky denied rumors about the dismissal of the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Zaluzhny and his appointment to the post of head of the Ministry of Defense. The Ukrainian president stressed that he appreciates him very much.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that more than 200 reservists of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and 10 units of military equipment were destroyed by a direct hit of the Iskander missile on the military echelon.
The train was at the Chaplino railway station and was traveling to the combat zone in the Donbas.
The Military Department also informed about the defeat of seven control points of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporozhye regions, as well as the DPR.
Four ammunition depots were liquidated in the Kharkiv and Mykolaiv regions and in the DPR.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported a strike on a military airfield near Mirgorod in the Poltava region. Two planes were destroyed, three more were critically damaged.
The Russian army could slow down the special operation in Ukraine for two reasons, military expert Viktor Murakhovsky said in an interview with RBC.
The Russian Federation has become less likely to use aviation and heavy armored vehicles during the performance of tasks of a special military operation, the specialist shared details. According to the observations of the reserve colonel, long-range bombing raids have not been carried out for the last couple of months.
In addition, from Murakhovsky’s point of view, an important factor is a more careful and cautious use of heavy armored vehicles, which appears only in the final stage, cleans trenches. “That is, we see one maximum of three tanks in positions before they clear the trenches and go on the offensive,” the military expert explained.
In fact, the tank turned into a cart for a cannon and ceased to be a means of developing success, Murakhovsky noted, adding that tanks require infantry escort, which can lead to serious losses.
Politico published a note by columnist Mujtaba Rahman, which points to the confrontation in the EU over the settlement in Ukraine: French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz are opposing the “hawks” mainly from among the newly admitted states to the union.
“Behind public statements of support for Ukraine, there is a quiet tug of war between Germany, France and — until the resignation of Prime Minister Mario Draghi – Italy on the one hand, and Poland, the Baltic states, Scandinavia and Finland on the other,” the Politico article says.
According to Rahman, at the same time, Scholz and Macron are forced to hide from the countries of Central and Eastern Europe their approaches to resolving the conflict – the focus on its speedy completion by diplomatic means.
The reason for such secrecy, according to the author of the publication, is the desire to preserve unity in the ranks of the EU. And such a policy of Paris and Berlin will remain unchanged as long as US support for military actions in Ukraine remains unchanged.
The EU’s decision to create a training mission to train servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) may lead to a direct clash with the Russian Federation, French MEP Thierry Mariani said on his Twitter account.
Everyone understands that the European Union is “on the way to war”, but no one wants to talk about it out loud, he shared his point of view.
Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky summoned Russian Ambassador to Prague Alexander Zmeevsky because of the words of Russia’s permanent representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzie about the murder of journalist Daria Dugina. This is stated by the head on Twitter of the minister (the social network is blocked on the territory of Russia at the request of the prosecutor’s office).
Lipavsky said in a message on the social network: “I decided to summon the Russian ambassador to the Czech Foreign Ministry. Deputy Minister Yaroslav Kurferst categorically objected to Russia’s outrageous and false accusations against the Czech Republic in the UN Security Council.”
Czech Defense Minister Yana Chernokhova said that she did not feel sorry for either Daria or her father Alexander Dugin. The minister also added that “the night of August 21 in Russia will be remembered for a long time.” Nebenzia pointed out that such statements serve as “open support and propaganda of terrorist attacks against a civilian.”
Dugina died while returning home from the annual family literary and musical festival “Tradition”. It is not known whether she was the target or her father, who was supposed to go with her, but at the last moment moved to another car. According to the Kommersant newspaper, after the explosion, the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SUV lost control, stopped and caught fire. The publication writes that later a badly burned body was found in the cabin. Dugin himself arrived at the crime scene.
On August 23, a farewell ceremony with Daria took place at the Ostankino television center. The farewell ceremony was attended by over 200 people, including the leader of the LDPR party Leonid Slutsky, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Sergei Neverov, a member of the Public Chamber Ekaterina Mizulina, writer Zakhar Prilepin, TV presenter Dmitry Kiselyov, businessman Evgeny Prigozhin, Governor of the Khabarovsk Territory MichaelDegtyarev, media magnate Konstantin Malofeev. Envoy to the Central Federal District Igor Shchegolev presented Alexander Dugin with the Order of Courage of his daughter.
Journalist Dmitry Mikhailin, who was present at the Tradition festival, said that the festival participants heard an explosion on Mozhaisk highway. He himself did not attach any importance to this, since there is an Alabino tank training ground near Zakharovo.
According to the CBC TV channel, Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Joly announced the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the country to transfer gas turbines for the Nord Stream gas pipeline to the German authorities.
“This is exactly what Germany asked us to do,” the minister said.
It should be noted that currently five turbines remain in Canada for the Russian Nord Stream gas pipeline, which is the main route for gas supplies from Russia to Europe.
