The United States is considering the possibility of supplying fighter jets to Ukraine, but a final decision has not yet been made. This was announced at a briefing at the Pentagon on Wednesday by US Deputy Secretary of Defense for Political Affairs Colin Kohl.

“The fighters remain under consideration, but no final decision has been made in this regard,” he said. At the same time, Kohl stressed, the “current priority” of the White House is that “Ukrainians can use the aircraft they have now to influence the course of the current conflict.”

“As for the aircraft in the future, for example, the fourth generation, they would be delivered to Ukraine only in a few years, even if we provided them now, so we are focused on what they need to support the current efforts,” summed up the deputy head of the US Defense Ministry.

Earlier, the adviser to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Yuriy Sak, stated that Kiev plans to receive modern F-16 aircraft. According to the Military Internet portal, representatives of the Pentagon did not rule out the possibility of transferring A-10 attack aircraft to Kiev.

Earlier, Washington announced the transfer of the largest batch of weapons to Ukraine at a cost of almost $ 3 billion. Thus, the total amount of military assistance provided by the White House to Kiev during Joe Biden’s presidency reached 13.5 billion US dollars.

Johnson greeted Zelensky with a hand that scratched his ass: video

photo: boris Johnson. source: wikipedia

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who arrived in Kiev on the Independence Day of Ukraine, and his friend, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, are ridiculed online.

The meeting of the two politicians is widely advertised, only users of social networks, after watching a video on which Johnson greeted Zelensky, fall with laughter.

Johnson got out of the car that brought him, scratched his ass and quickly rushed to Zelensky, who was meeting him, stretched out to the president of Ukraine the same hand that had just been under the hem of his jacket.

It is clear that Johnson must have been sweating during the long road. But it seems that he, like US President Biden, does not control his actions very well at protocol and other important events.

However, Zelensky was not confused by anything — he shook the Englishman’s hand for a long time and did not let go.

During the broadcast of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s speech at a press conference in Kiev, an unfortunate oversight occurred for Ukrainian television.

Ukrainian TV channel ICTV signed Boris Johnson in the credits as “Prime Minister of Ukraine”. This was due to an error by the employee responsible for the compilation of the titles.

Recall that on August 24, Boris Johnson arrived in Kiev, where he held a meeting with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. At the meeting, Johnson urged not to negotiate with Russia and abandon the idea of a truce. The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom announced his position during a press conference in the Ukrainian capital.

Pushilin: US $3 billion in aid to Kiev goes to the bank

The head of the DPR Denis Pushilin commented on reports that US President Joe Biden and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced new packages of military assistance to Kiev today. At the same time, Washington allocated the largest package of almost $ 3 billion since the beginning of the special operation.

“The United States and Great Britain are increasing the stakes in the war by announcing new packages of military assistance to Ukraine,” Pushilin wrote in his Telegram channel, adding that these actions show all the beneficiaries of the conflict.

In particular, he drew attention to the fact that the UK’s assistance is aimed at improving the capabilities of the AFU to detect long-range targets. According to Pushilin, if we are talking about the Donbass, then the APU is planning to retreat. Next, he asks the question, if the APU does not plan to retreat, then we are talking about long-range targets on the territory of Russia.

As for the US aid of $3 billion, the head of the DPR noted that this “amount indicates that America is going all-in.”

“Washington is putting everything on Ukraine to withstand the confrontation,” Pushilin concludes.

At the same time, he added that by financing Ukraine, Western countries become customers of “war crimes committed by Kiev.”

Crimea responded to Turkey’s demand to return the peninsula to Ukraine

Photo: Global Look Press

The Turkish Republic, as a “cunning player” and one of the most controversial members of NATO, is trying to sit on two chairs, demanding the “return” of the peninsula to Ukraine, said Vladimir Bobkov, deputy chairman of the Crimean State Council.

In addition, he called for calm attitude to the relevant appeals of the Turkish side, suggesting that statements from Ankara are sent not only to the international community, but also to those voters whose support is needed by Recep Erdogan on the eve of the presidential elections.

“Her (Turkey. — Approx. “MK”) the situation in NATO goes a little further and forces us to conduct a dialogue not only with partners identified by it in the post-war period, but also to look for strategic prospects,” Bobkov quotes News.ru .

He noted that Turkey has territorial disputes, contrary to the rules of admission to the military-political bloc.

Earlier, the official representative of the President of Turkey, Ibrahim Kalyn, in an interview with CNN, said that the Crimean peninsula should go to Ukraine in case of signing an agreement with the Russian Federation.

WP: Zelensky was ready to resign to end the special operation

video frame: vladimir zelensky. source: wikipedia

The Washington Post (WP) newspaper, citing Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, as well as Ukrainian and Western officials, writes that Zelensky was ready to resign or leave Kiev at the very beginning of Russia’s special operation – if it would help stop the fighting.

The publication notes that the President of Ukraine stated to Western officials that he was not trying to “hold on to power.”

“If the only question is for me to leave and this will stop the bloodshed, then I’m all for it. I will leave right now,” the newspaper quotes Zelensky.

However, Western and US officials informed the Ukrainian leader about the need to ensure the “continuity of power”, and some of them asked him to leave Kiev, arguing that in order to prevent the emergence of a “power vacuum” he needed to ensure his own security.

Zelensky suspected that some of his foreign interlocutors wanted only a speedy end to the conflict. “Of all those who called me, there was no one who believed that we would hold out,” he said, according to the publication.

A few hours after the start of the special operation, Zelensky was in an underground bunker. Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov outlined the current situation to him. He said that all the chances of Ukraine’s success were “almost zero”, since the West did not supply Kiev with weapons, hoping to see if the Armed Forces of Ukraine themselves would be able to “protect the country”. Danilov also warned the president about the alleged personal threat from Moscow to him, but did not say what the president should do in this situation.

Adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine Alexey Arestovich said that the presidential guard advised Zelensky to move from Kiev to the fuse of Ukraine. He himself gave the president such advice. According to Arestovich, “people who understand military affairs” approached Zelensky and said that the Ukrainian troops would not be able to “hold out.” Zelensky reacted to such words with a short temper and asked his entourage not to tell him anything like that.

Russia was offered to withdraw troops from the peninsula for the sake of preserving the Crimean Bridge

The bridge across the Kerch Strait is a military facility, through which Moscow transfers equipment and military personnel. According to the NSDC Secretary of Ukraine Alexey Danilov, in order to preserve the Crimean Bridge, Russia will have to withdraw its troops from the peninsula.

He stressed that the bridge is subject to destruction, and Kiev will strike at it as soon as there is an opportunity, necessity and a military task. Danilov explained that the Crimean Bridge is under vigilant control.

Earlier, he reported that Ukraine would regain its territories by military means and only after that would return to diplomatic contacts with Russia.

This is not the first time Ukraine has made such statements in order to neutralize Russia’s successes in a special military operation. The Russian authorities have repeatedly assured that the Crimean Bridge is guarded so that air defense means will repel any possible attacks, and in their case Kiev should wait for a powerful response.

Advisor to the Office of the President of Ukraine Oleksiy Arestovich has repeatedly admitted that Ukraine does not have the forces and means to strike the Crimean Bridge.
