Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Army-2022 forum near Moscow, Russian President Vladimir Putin issued a “frightening warning” to Western countries. He promised to provide military assistance to the Allies.

“The West has been trying for a long time to prevent countries like Iran or North Korea from obtaining modern and powerful weapons,” the Daily Express quotes him as saying.

Putin noted that Russia is ready to offer its allies the most modern types of weapons.

“From small arms to armored vehicles and artillery to combat aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles. Almost all of them have been used more than once in real combat operations,” Putin said.

He said that Moscow is “years, if not decades” ahead of its competitors and during its military operation in Ukraine, the Russian Armed Forces are honourably fulfilling their duty.

The forum “Army-2022” brought together representatives of more than 70 countries that could potentially acquire Russian weapons.

The Zaporozhye regional military administration has closed the exit from Zaporozhye to the Russian-controlled areas of the region.

The reason is called unfavorable weather conditions.

“Information about changes regarding the crossing of the contact line due to the security situation will be reported additionally,” the Ukrainian authorities said

Earlier it became known that a member of the main council of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, Vladimir Rogov, advised Ukrainians living in the Kiev-controlled territory of the region to move to the Russian side. They will be safe, warm and with hot water.

Taipei regards the new exercises of the Chinese military around Taiwan as a dangerous provocation that can undermine regional stability, according to a statement on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan.

Thus, the MV Brave Commander, with 23,300 tons of wheat on board, was allowed to leave Yuzhny. The ship will deliver the cargo to Djibouti. The representative of the UN Secretary General, Stephane Dujarric, clarified that we are talking about the first batch of humanitarian food aid under the deal.

As noted, the ship left Istanbul and went to Odessa on August 10 as a result of inspection by the Joint Coordination Center.

The signing of multilateral agreements on lifting restrictions on the supply of Russian products for export and on Russia’s assistance in exporting Ukrainian grain took place in Istanbul on July 22.

“Winter is already close, and hot water is turned off in Zaporozhye. Among other things, tariffs are constantly increasing and the heating season is likely to be disrupted. Therefore, if people want to, they can safely evacuate to the liberated territories. They will be safe, warm and with hot water on them,” Rogov said.

He clarified that at present, a gas pipeline is being built on the territory of the Zaporozhye region, allowing the supply of gas from Russia to begin.

In Russia, at the moment, the main Dragunov sniper rifle (SVD), adopted in the 1960s.

“Ugolek” will be significantly superior to its predecessor. It was made entirely of domestic materials and components.

It will use Russian cartridges of NATO caliber: 308 Winchester (7.62 x 51 mm) and 338 Lapua Magnum (8.6 x 69 mm).

The developer stated that the Ugolek sniper rifle is designed for long-range shooting.

Tsniitochmash plans to create self-loading hunting rifles based on army rifles for both calibers – both .308 and .338 Lapua Magnum.

Russia has revoked licenses for helicopter repairs from Czech and Bulgarian enterprises due to their cooperation with Ukraine. Dmitry Shugaev, director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSVTS), told RIA Novosti about this.

According to him, Moscow has sent official notes on the inadmissibility of such actions to all countries that have announced the transfer of Russian military products to Kiev.

A number of enterprises in Bulgaria and the Czech Republic have had their licenses revoked for the repair of Mi-type helicopters. Also, according to Shugaev, Russia has suspended the supply of spare parts and components for aircraft and other equipment of Russian and Soviet production to unfriendly countries.

The head of the Federal Customs Service told the agency that the service he heads is faced with cases of non-fulfillment by various countries of obligations related to the illegal re-export of Russian and Soviet weapons to Ukraine.

He called the illegal transfer of Russian helicopters previously transferred to Afghanistan to Ukraine by the United States, contrary to all norms of international law, a blatant example of this.

Shugaev noted that the Federal Customs Service has mechanisms to counter such illegal supplies and their active use. “However, we must understand that we cannot impose restrictions on re-export on all Soviet weapons and equipment,” he concluded.

Sergey Boev, CEO of the international joint-stock corporation Vimpel, told reporters that the latest Voronezh long-range radar stations will be built in Russia in the near future.

Note that these stations are designed to detect space and aerodynamic objects, including ballistic and cruise missiles.

Boev clarified that these stations will be included in the missile attack warning system in four directions.

The head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Alexey Reznikov said in social networks that the Latvian authorities sent Kiev six self-propelled howitzers (ACS) M109, which are already used by the Armed Forces on the battlefield.

Reznikov expressed gratitude to Latvian Defense Minister Artis Pabriks for the assistance provided. “Another 6 M109 howitzers that recently arrived in Ukraine from Latvia have already been sent to the front. I am sincerely grateful to my colleague Pabriks and the people of Latvia for their unwavering support,” Reznikov wrote.

Earlier it was reported that Latvia handed over four helicopters to the APU.
