The Presidents of Russia and the United States, Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden, concluded a telephone conversation on the situation in Ukraine. It lasted 35 minutes, as reported in the American White House. During the conversation, there was a “direct exchange of views”, according to the Telegram channel “Pool No. 3”.
Meanwhile, White House correspondent for CBS News Stephen Portnoy noted that the conversation between the two leaders lasted about an hour.
The talks began at about 19:06. Reuters noted that Putin and Biden were discussing the presence of Russian troops in areas bordering Ukraine.
Prior to that, Putin had a telephone conversation with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron on the topic of Ukraine. The conversation lasted 1 hour and 40 minutes.
