“For this, there are special bombing installations that launch grenades that show submariners that they have been overlaid, in fact, with red flags and, if they do not make any decisions, the next step is a direct defeat of this object,” Litovkin clarified.
“Virginia” was spotted the day before in the area of the Kuril island of Urup in Russian territorial waters. Her crew was given a request to surface in two languages, to which he did not respond. After that, the appropriate means were applied to the submarine and it left the Russian territorial waters at maximum speed.
Earlier, a military expert, captain of the 1st rank in the reserve, Vladimir Gundarov, called the behavior of the Americans fantastic arrogance and suggested that a sonar strike could have been applied to them. He compared its action to the blows of a sledgehammer on an iron barrel.
