Washington declared the complete non-involvement of the US anti-drug service in the murder of Haitian President Jovenel Moiz on the night of July 7. This was announced by the official representative of the US State Department, Ned Price.
According to the official, the employees of the anti-drug service have nothing to do with the crime committed. The State Department called any rumors about the involvement of Americans in the murder “an absolute lie”.
The very information about the possible involvement of employees of this service in the attack on the residence of the head of Haiti appeared in the press as soon as it became known that the attackers shouted that they represented the DEA – the American anti-drug agency.
The United States offered to provide Haiti with comprehensive support, including military assistance after the events of last night. Washington also declared its readiness to help the island state in investigating all the circumstances of the murder of Jovenel Moiz.
