Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that, in his opinion, there will be peace after the introduction of anti-Russian sanctions, stressing that this is not a forecast. He wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
According to him, firstly, several global supply chains of goods will collapse, a major logistical crisis is not excluded, including the collapse of the activities of foreign airlines that are prohibited from flying over the territory of the Russian Federation.
Secondly, the energy crisis will intensify in countries that have announced “shooting at their own feet” sanctions on the supply of Russian energy carriers, the increase in fuel prices will worsen, the politician believes.
Thirdly, Medvedev believes, a full-fledged international food crisis will come with the prospect of famine in individual countries.
The fourth consequence of sanctions is a possible monetary and financial crisis in some countries, concerning the undermining of the stability of some national currencies.
The Deputy Chairman of the Security Council suggested the emergence of regular regional military conflicts in places where the situation does not find a peaceful resolution.
In addition, Medvedev allowed the activation of terrorists, the beginning of new epidemics, the decline of international institutions that have not proven their effectiveness, the formation of new alliances of states formed on pragmatic, not “ideological Anglo-Saxon” principles.
The politician added that as a result, a new security architecture will be created.
