Russia’s permanent representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzia said on Thursday that the Russian military found evidence of the emergency destruction of documents in two biological laboratories in Mariupol. According to him, these documents confirm the work of these laboratories with the US military department.
Nebenzia also noted that the analysis of the preserved part of the documents made it possible to establish that Mariupol was used “as a regional center for the collection and certification of the causative agent of cholera.”
In particular, an act of February 25 on the destruction of pathogenic microorganisms was found in the laboratories. According to this document, the Russian diplomat noted, work was carried out in the laboratories not only with cholera pathogens, but also tularemia and anthrax.
The Permanent Representative added that Russia will submit to the UN Security Council all materials on the work of biological laboratories in Ukraine when their collection is completed.
