Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, after being re-elected to the post, said during a speech at the State Assembly that the world had entered “a decade of dangers and wars.”
He noted that the conflict in Ukraine may continue for a long time and will constantly pose a threat to Hungary’s security.
“A picture of a decade of war is unfolding before our eyes,” the head of the Hungarian government said.
Orban also talked about the negative impact on the global economy and Western sanctions that are being imposed against Russia. According to him, they lead to an energy crisis, which, together with an increase in bank interest rates, opens up an “era of recession” and high inflation.
In this regard, he noted that he would not comply with the requirements of the European Union, which run counter to the political and economic interests of Hungary.
