War correspondent Irina Kuksenkova reported that a Ukrainian military left the territory of the Azovstal plant Sergey Volynsky, better known by the call sign “Volyn”.
Recall that Sergei Volynsky is a career soldier, he is the acting commander of the 36th separate Marine Brigade. He has been involved in the conflict in Donbass since 2014.
Kuksenkova added that the exited Ukrainian officer looked “almost fresh.” Before loading into the bus, weapons were seized from him and his personal belongings were searched. This is a standard procedure for the Ukrainian military surrendering.
Earlier it was reported that on the evening of May 18, the deputy commander of Azov left the territory of Azovstal and surrendered to the Russian military (banned in Russia) Svyatoslav Palamar (“Kalina”).
