Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said that the country proposes to impose an embargo on sea oil supplies from Russia instead of land, since they make up the majority of Russian oil supplies to Europe.
According to Szijjarto, the economies of the EU countries will continue to function smoothly if sanctions are not imposed on pipeline supplies. If both oil routes fall under sanctions, the economy will be destroyed.
The Foreign Minister also noted that Hungary has not yet received an acceptable proposal on the oil embargo from the EU.
