According to RT, the governor of the Kaliningrad region Anton Alikhanov told reporters about the call of the Ambassador of the European Union to Russia Markus Ederer to the Foreign Ministry in connection with the introduction of restrictions on transit through Lithuania.
The head of the region expressed hope that the current situation will be resolved by diplomatic means.
“Markus Ederer, the EU Ambassador to Russia, has been summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Smolensk, and appropriate conditions will be set for him… I really hope that… he will offer some kind of solution from his side and will be constructive,” Alikhanov said
