Russian director and member of the Human Rights Council Alexander Sokurov was not released from the country to Finland, referring to a government decree, his friend told on the page in the social network.
Sokurov, according to her version, planned to cross the border with Finland by car, then board a plane from Helsinki to Milan. At the Finnish border, he was asked to get out of the car, after which they took his passport, with which they left for several hours. As a result, the director no longer had time for the press conference.
About a month ago, the director spoke critically about Nikita Mikhalkov’s idea to create a “Eurasian Oscar”.
