There are three ways to solve the issue of transit of Russian goods through the territory of Lithuania. This was stated by the head of the Agency for International and Interregional Relations of the Kaliningrad region Alla Ivanova.
According to the official, the first way is to supplement the glossary of Article 1 with the concept of “Kaliningrad transit of people and goods. The second option is to exclude clarifications about the transported goods from the document on the imposed sanctions.
As a third option, Ivanova called sending explanations to the Customs Service of the Republic of Lithuania about the non-application of the articles imposed by the 4th, 5th and 6th packages of sanctions to the Kaliningrad transit of goods.
Earlier, Lithuania imposed restrictions on the transit of Russian goods through its territory. This decision caused a negative reaction of the Russian authorities.
