According to White House press Secretary Karin Jean-Pierre, US President Joe Biden was not informed in advance that searches would be conducted on the estate of his predecessor Donald Trump in Florida.
She declined a more detailed comment, advising to clarify all the necessary information in the US Department of Justice.
“No. President Biden wasn’t informed, he didn’t know about it. No one in the White House was informed, no one knew that this would happen,” Jean—Pierre said during a briefing, answering a question.
The official representative of the White House added that she learned about the searches from news stories.
