On August 11, the head of the Russian military department, Sergei Shoigu, visited defense enterprises in the Moscow and Tula regions that carry out state defense orders. So, in Kolomna, he inspected the progress of the implementation of the state defense order by the Scientific and Production Corporation “Design Bureau of Mechanical Engineering” (KBM). He was accompanied by the Governor of the Moscow region Andrey Vorobyov. KBM is a developer and manufacturer of operational-tactical missile systems Iskander-M.
In the Tula region, Shoigu checked visited the production sites of the A.G.Shipunov Instrument Design Bureau (KBP) and the Scientific and Production Association “Alloy”. KBP is a developer and manufacturer of the Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile and cannon complexes, and Splav is a monopolist in the development of Grad multiple launch rocket systems,”Tornado”, “Hurricane” and “Tornado”. In Tula, the Minister of Defense was accompanied by the head of the region Alexey Dyumin.
Shoigu held meetings with the management of enterprises and specialized bodies of military administration, at which he paid special attention to compliance with the schedule of the state defense order.
