The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro has declared one of the employees of the Russian Embassy in the country persona non grata. The reason given is activity “contrary to article nine of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.” The agency announced this on its Twitter page.
Soon the Russian embassy confirmed that it had received a note on the expulsion of the diplomat.
On April 7, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro declared four employees of the Russian Embassy persona non grata. After that, Russia expelled an employee of the Embassy of Montenegro in Moscow as a retaliatory measure.
