Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov commented on reports of a “stab in the back” to Ukraine from the West in the coming winter. In his Telegram channel, he noted that “public outrage over the conflict is giving way to anxiety bordering on panic”.
According to a member of the Federation Council, “the notorious resistance”, which gives Western countries losses and losses, is beneficial only to arms manufacturers, and also to politicians like British Foreign Minister Liz Truss. Pushkov added that such politicians rush only to the heights of power, and not to Western societies, which “economically only lose from the policy chosen by Western leaders.”
He added that such steadfastness is justified solely in the neoliberal ideology, whose adherents have “gone off the rails” and seek to subjugate the whole world to it. But the forces, as the senator noted, are no longer enough.
“And this persistent and persistent desire to preserve hegemony is costing both Europeans and Americans more and more,” Pushkov pointed out.
Earlier, the British edition of The Guardian reported that Western countries are beginning to pay more and more attention to the impact of events around Ukraine on the price of energy and food. Experts noted that this could lead to a “stab in the back” of Ukraine from the West. In particular, the authors of the publication express the point of view that US President Joe Biden avoids confrontation, andThey also refer to the results of polls, according to which many German residents are in favor of territorial concessions of Ukraine in favor of Russia.
Before that, Alexey Pushkov noted that the upcoming winter will be an important test for Germany, since many German experts give very gloomy forecasts after the termination of Russian gas supplies, despite official statements from Berlin.
