The head of the Fair Russia – For Truth party, Sergey Mironov, expressed the view that electric scooters and other means of individual mobility should be included in the Traffic Rules as soon as possible.
In his Telegram channel, Mironov recalled that according to the results of the first six months of 2022, the number of accidents involving personal mobility equipment amounted to 370, which is 174 percent more than last year.
According to Mironov, many incidents, especially involving pedestrians, are not recorded, and the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation ruled that the managers of electric scooters are considered pedestrians.
