According to the Wiener Zeitung newspaper, Indian writer and journalist Ulleh N.P. critically assessed Washington’s attempts to put pressure on New Delhi in order to force it to sever relations with Moscow.
“If the United States thought that they could dictate conditions to India or dissuade it from continuing relations with Russia, then our answer is: we are not your vassals,” the writer stressed.
He also recalled that India has its own strategic interests just like any other independent state.
“For India, military ties with Russia are crucial, since the relationship has lasted for many decades,” Ulleh concluded.
