At the open All-Russian lesson “Talking about important things” in Kaliningrad, Russian President Vladimir Putin told how he was shocked by the information received from the head of the Ministry of Defense Sergey Kravtsov.
“He was in Donetsk and other territories, and said that the children do not know about the existence of the Crimean Bridge. They think it’s fake. I just, excuse me, opened my mouth,” Putin said.
The Head of State added that schoolchildren are not aware that Ukraine and Russia used to be part of the same state.
The Russian leader stressed that most adults in Ukraine do not know that the republic has never had its own statehood. As an administrative unit, Ukraine appeared only as part of the USSR, when native Russian territories were annexed to it.
During the lesson “Conversations about important things”, Putin shook the hand of a boy who asked him to give his handshake to the pope, who respects the president very much.
