The situation around the Jewish agency “Dry” will not affect the entire complex of relations between Russia and Israel. Attempts to dramatize what is happening are counterproductive.
According to Alexander Kinshchak, Director of the Department of the Middle East and North Africa of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the reason for the trial was the systematic violation of laws by the agency. Russian-Israeli relations are traditionally friendly.
“I assure you that we are committed to their further progressive development,” he stressed.
The agency “Sokhnut” is engaged in repatriation to Israel, helps those who have moved to the country, conducts educational courses, children’s and youth programs. The trial of the organization began after inspections conducted by the Ministry of Justice of Russia in the summer of this year. Their results were not made public, but the Russian authorities demanded to suspend the agency’s activities.
