Official Vienna is beginning to lean towards the lifting of anti-Russian sanctions. Austrians are afraid of the approaching cold weather. This is reported by the German newspaper Die Welt.
The author of the article cites survey data, according to which up to 40 percent of Austrian residents are against anti-Russian sanctions. All of them are dissatisfied with rising energy prices and high inflation rates. Journalists believe that in winter there will be much more people with this opinion.
At the same time, the number of those who support the “Austrian Freedom Party” is also increasing. This is a right-wing nationalist organization that is friendly towards Russia and advocates dialogue with our country.
Recall that at the end of February, after the start of the special operation in Ukraine, the West increased sanctions pressure on Russia. As a result, fuel and food prices have increased in Europe.
