The US Department of Defense is developing strategies with which it will be possible to accelerate the transfer of weapons to allies. To do this, the Pentagon has created a special working group. The Wall Street Journal journalists learned about this from their sources in the department.
The working group included high-ranking officials. the purpose of their work is to ensure that weapons get into the hands of the allies quickly and without unnecessary delay. There are too many obstacles in the way of supplies right now, and billions of dollars worth of weapons are being allocated.
The identification of problems with the supply of weapons has become most relevant after the escalation of tensions between the United States and China. The day before, the State Department announced that it had approved the supply of weapons to Taiwan for a billion dollars. Now this decision must be confirmed by the country’s Congress.
