The official representative of the Greek government, Yannis Ikonomou, accused Russia of economic pressure on Europe and of seeking to cause unrest. He told reporters about this at a briefing.
“Now everything shows that Russia is trying to increase economic pressure, cause social unrest and political instability in those countries that oppose its plans,” he said.
According to him, Greece, amid political and economic turmoil, “remained a country of stability and security.”
He also said that such strength would be put to a serious test. He compared the current energy crisis with a pandemic, saying that both were imported to Europe from outside.
