Readers of the German publication Der Spiegel criticized the President of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen. They did not like her statements about the “measures of punishment of Russia.”
The representative of the EC stated that the current restrictions against Russia are “the strictest that the whole world has ever seen in its history”
and they must be observed. “Europe will win,” she concluded.
“While the victory of Europe does not smell. One has only to look at inflation and think about what awaits us in winter. There are already those who no longer want to play these games. It is possible that von der Leyen lives in a parallel world. Maybe everything looks different there,” a user with the nickname Fritz-hw2SWMB7R said in a comment to the news.
“This Ursula of yours is suffering from a complete loss of connection with reality. And with her and her whole spanked EU!!! The EU should have taken care of a diplomatic solution earlier. And now they are lying, presenting Russia as the only culprit,” another user supported him.
Other readers of the German edition expressed similar opinions.
