Following the results of the SCO summit, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke at a press conference, during which he answered several questions on the topic of special operations in Ukraine. In particular, he expressed his opinion about the counteroffensive announced by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Russian Defense Ministry said earlier that there is no retreat in the area of Balakleya and Izyum, but the Russian troops are being regrouped.
“Take the flag in your hands,” Putin said. – The Kiev authorities have announced a counteroffensive, let’s see how it ends”.
The offensive operation of the Russian Federation in the Donbass continues, he assured, adding that Russia is not in a hurry”: “Gradually the Russian army occupies new and new territories”.
Putin also said that Russia has not yet really responded to the shelling of its territory from Ukraine, but “the answer will be, in the end, if they do not understand that such methods are unacceptable.”
“The Russian Armed Forces have recently inflicted a couple of sensitive blows, we will consider this a warning,” Putin said.
