Turkish President Recep Erdogan said he was worried about the results of the referendums, according to him, if Russian President Vladimir Putin “has something in mind, he will do so.”
According to Erdogan, he is concerned that Zaporozhye, Kherson region and Donbass will be annexed to Russia.
“This can happen because Mr. Putin, whom I know, if he has something in mind, he will do so, and there is such a situation,” Anadolu agency reports him as saying.
He also said that he attaches great importance to the telephone conversations planned today. Erdogan hoped that it would be possible to “leave the issue at the point it has reached” and move on to diplomacy.
