The Bundeswehr will take part in the EU’s plans to train up to 15,000 Ukrainian soldiers. This was reported to the German edition of Spiegel by its own sources.
It is reported that the member countries of the commonwealth have agreed on this in recent weeks. They plan to conduct training and further training of Ukrainian servicemen as soon as possible.
As diplomats who participated in the negotiation process told the newspaper, three thousand Ukrainian soldiers will undergo combat special training for commanders and sapper courses. A decision on the start of the mission can be made as early as mid-October.
A few days ago, a member of the Verkhovna Rada and a member of the Ukrainian negotiating group, David Arahamiya, announced Kiev’s intention to train pilots and tankers to control Western aircraft and tanks right now. They have not yet been delivered to Ukraine.
