Vienna cannot cope with the huge influx of refugees, as it has already accepted 85,000 Ukrainian migrants. Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer told about this in an interview with Die Welt.
According to him, by August, about 57,000 asylum applications had been submitted — 195% more than in 2021. From the point of view of Non-Farmer, the number of refugees will continue to increase. “We have already placed about 85,000 Ukrainians, to whom we provide protection and whom we provide. In Austria, the cup is full,” he shared the details.
When asked by a journalist what needs to be done in this case, the Austrian Chancellor again demanded to limit illegal migration to the European Union and called on the EC to resolve this issue.
