Kirill Stremousov, deputy head of the military-civil administration of the Kherson region, said in his Telegram channel that the AFU had launched an offensive in the Kherson region.
“One of the directions of the enemy’s offensive, the Dudchany-Berislav road,” he noted.
Stremousov added that “there are no hard points yet,” while he recalled the recommendation to local residents to evacuate children from settlements on the right bank of the Dnieper.
“Let the military figure it out. The defense line is working, everything is under control,” Stremousov said.
According to military commander Andrei Rudenko, Ukrainian troops are advancing in the Dudchany-Berislav area with the forces of two battalions.
“At the same time, the shelling of Severodonetsk in the LPR and the work of artillery along the Kremennaya-Svatovo line began early in the morning,” military commander Yevgeny Poddubny wrote in turn.
At the same time, some analysts believe that attacks in different areas may be undertaken by the Ukrainian side to distract attention, and the main attempt of a counteroffensive will be carried out in another as yet unknown direction.
