The military commander of the GTRK, Alexander Sladkov, said that the situation near Kherson gives reason to be cautiously optimistic. According to him, while it is possible to do with one word – strayed.
The AFU created a fist of two brigades and a tank battalion in this direction, flying detachments were used. But this tactic did not pay off. The Russian coalition managed to stop the offensive and make it difficult for the APU to withdraw to the starting line. The military commander also noted the improvement of interaction between different types and branches of the armed forces.
Alexander Sladkov stressed that the offensives were repulsed by several groups at once, in the Limansky and Zaporozhye directions.
“In my opinion, this is the first result of reforming the command apparatus of the entire SVO. One leader, Sergey Surovikin, a single management arm — and here you have a clear coordination of actions,” suggested the military commander.
Harsh total strikes on the entire military infrastructure of Ukraine also played a role. In his opinion, we can expect long-lasting positive results of the attack.
Sladkom recalled that the Ukrainian media reported on Kiev’s intention to take the right coast of the Dnieper, and then storm Kherson. This bridgehead is equally inconvenient for the AFU and the troops of the Russian coalition. But after such a well-coordinated work of artillery and aviation, the steadfastness of ground troops, it is quite legitimate to feel careful optimism.
“The goal is to hold on until we reach the required level of training and the arrival of reinforcements, before increasing the productivity of our military-industrial complex. And there winter is not winter — no one has canceled the offensive yet. And in the cold, Europe will become more gutta-percha,” Sladkov stressed.
