The only son of Russian businessman Mikhail Fridman recorded a video message in which he called for the lifting of the sanctions imposed on him along with his father.

“My name is Alexander Ozhelsky, I found myself under the sanctions of the government of Ukraine. I didn’t do anything wrong. Help put an end to this madness,” the businessman’s son writes in English in the description of his video.

In the video, Ozhelsky, also in English, declares that he does not understand why he was under sanctions, that he lives on his own means and that all his achievements are now under threat because of a bunch of damn bureaucrats”. According to the entrepreneur’s heir, he left Russia from the very beginning of the special operation and now rents an apartment in Dubai, anddoes not live “in the damn estate”. Ozhelsky claims that he does not understand the decision of Kiev, which, in his opinion, did not take into account his negative position towards Moscow’s foreign policy. The young man is indignant that he was punished “only because of his kinship with another person”, and does not understand “how this is possible in the XXI century”.

“I consider myself a Ukrainian, I have relatives in Ukraine, and I used to go there every year, and now I can’t,” Ozhelsky complains. – It’s unfair and unfair”. In fact, Alexander lived in Moscow until he was 13, then studied at a private English school, started businesses in Moscow and was going to study in the USA

On Thursday, October 20, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky put into effect the NSDC decision of October 19 on the imposition of sanctions against 1,374 Russian companies and 2,507 Russians.
