Russian anti-vaccination politician Alexander Vorobyov died of coronavirus

Alexander Vorobyov, the first secretary of the Yaroslavl regional faction of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, who opposed vaccination, died after contracting coronavirus, the Yarnews portal reports. The deputy of the Yaroslavl Regional Duma and the leader of the Communists in the Yaroslavl region fell ill in early August. Soon testing showed that it was a coronavirus.

At first, Vorobyov was treated at home, then he was admitted to the hospital. The politician was found to have a lesion of 60% of the lungs. There were reports that he was transferred to a ventilator, but then a denial was received.

There were reports that Vorobyov began to recover, but it turned out that this was not the case. “It seemed to be on the mend, but then it started. He abruptly joined all the political discussions, started writing on Facebook, and something happened to his heart. He was transferred to the intensive care unit, ” said Vorobyov’s party colleague Elena Kuznetsova. The politician stayed in the intensive care unit for two days, then died. It happened on August 25.

Vorobyov was 72 years old. In 2020, he suffered from pneumonia, but he was not found to have a coronavirus.
