In the German city of Teterov, posters of the ruling CDU party appeared on the street, showing Germany in the borders between the First and Second World Wars – with the Kaliningrad Region included in it, which at that time was called East Prussia, Nordkurier reports.
Also, some lands that were later included in the composition of Germany appeared on the posters Poland, for example, the city of Elblong (formerly Elbing). “The whole of Germany must become an undivided Fatherland through the CDU,” reads the slogan on the poster.
CDU district representative Hannes Dettmann noted that the posters were not approved by the party, so it is most likely “the machinations of competitors”.
Recall that in September, Germany will hold elections to the Bundestag and a new government will be formed. It is expected that the CDU leader Armin Laschet will become Chancellor.
