In the foreseeable future, the topic of hydrogen may become the basis for the consolidation of Russia and Germany. This was stated by the German Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Geza Andreas von Geir, speaking at the Henkel plant in Engels.
According to the ambassador, Russia has a great potential for developing the topic of green hydrogen, that is, obtaining it from renewable sources. During the transition period, it is possible to obtain “blue” hydrogen from primary energy sources, von Geir stressed.
The Ambassador to Russia said that the two countries have recently been getting closer, there is a search for a reasonable balance between the economy and the environment. The topic of hydrogen can lead to further political rapprochement between the two countries, the diplomat believes. The ambassador also noted that the world expects openness and diversity from Russia and Germany.
